On the 22nd November 2023, The Chancellor of t he Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt announced the Government’s autumn statement.
Prior to the statement, Mr. Hunt had said that “everything is on the table” when it comes to tax
cuts and had pledged to “remove the barriers that stop businesses growing”. Thematically the
autumn statement echoed these goals, focussing on the need to help struggling families
with the cost of living, as well as boosting economic growth and supporting the workforce.
